Hemorrhoids are anal cushions within the canal that contain blood vessels and the supporting tissue made of muscle
and elastic fibers. Although most people think hemorrhoids are abnormal, they are present in everyone. It is only
when the hemorrhoidal cushions enlarge or get swollen that hemorrhoids cause problems and is considered a disease.
Types of Hemorrhoids (Piles)
Types of hemorrhoidal disease : Internal, External and Mixed.
Internal hemorrhoids are inside the anal canal and rectum.
External hemorrhoids are on the outer part of the anus.
Mixed/Prolapsed hemorrhoids may stretch down until they bulge outside your anus.
